Joel Meltzner is a Principal and President of Knapp Capital Management, where he is responsible for platform strategy, organizational design and the institutional infrastructure required to deliver at district scale. He brings more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise transformation across technology, defense, aerospace and infrastructure-oriented businesses.

Prior to joining KCM, Meltzner served as a lead strategist to Fortune 50 corporations and government agencies including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Goldman Sachs, Shell, Chevron, BP, Cargill and the U.S. Department of Defense, navigating mission-critical, regulated environments where execution failure carried material consequences.

He has served as Chairman, CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, President and Senior Vice President across multiple organizations throughout his career. As Chief Strategy Officer for a UK-based global institution with a 250-year history, he developed and executed a major strategic pivot targeting $1 billion in annual sales involving the divestiture of two divisions, the acquisition of two companies and a fundamental repositioning of the company's core market focus.

Earlier in his career, Meltzner founded a software company serving commercial shipping companies worldwide, growing the business from inception to more than 200 employees across 11 countries before negotiating its successful sale within five years. He holds two Special Inventor Awards from Boeing and one active patent.

Meltzner holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Colorado State University.
